The Urdu Academy of Northern California dedicated its program of August 21, 2011 to pay rich tribute to the Anglo-Indian poets of Urdu language. The second session was dedicated to the life and work of Sardar Ali Jaafry.
As usual, a number of maqalas were read on the life and work of the Anglo-Indian poets as well as Sardar Ali Jaafry.
A number of Urdu lovers amused the audience with the recitation of poetry of Arsh Malsiani and Asrar-ul-haq Majaz Lakhnavi.
The Urdu Academy President Tashie Zaheer welcomed the audience on behalf of the Academy. Dr. Tahir Mahmood was the MCs of the event. Nagesh Avadhani presented the vote of thanks.
The literary event was held at the Chandni Restaurant.
