The Urdu Academy of Northern California dedicated its program of July 17, 2011 to pay rich tribute to the two contemporary poets - Ehsan Danish & Hasrat Mohani. As usual, a number of maqalas were read on the life and work of the poets.
A number of Urdu lovers amused the audience with the recitation of poetry of the two poets.
The Urdu Academy President Tashie Zaheer welcomed the audience on behalf of the Academy. Dr. Tahir Mahmood was the MC of the event. Nagesh Avadhani presented the vote of thanks.
The literary event was held at the Chandni Restaurant.
