Urdu Academy pays tribute to Makhdoom Moiuddin and Safi Lakhnavi
The Urdu Academy of Northern California dedicated its program of February 20, 2011 to pay rich tribute to the well-known Urdu poets - Makhdoom Moiuddin and Safi Lakhnavi.  As usual, a number of maqalas were read on the life and work of the two poets.
A number of Urdu lovers amused the audience with the recitation of poetry of Arsh Malsiani and Asrar-ul-haq Majaz Lakhnavi.
The Urdu Academy President Tashie Zaheer welcomed the audience on behalf of the Academy. Dr. Tahir Mahmood and Dr. Ghazala Ansari were the MCs of the event. Nagesh Avadhani presented the vote of thanks.
The literary event was held at the Chandni Restaurant.
